Experiencing the worst customer

Today morning I was woken up by my care taker's call and he sent me the video and pictures of my airbnb home, which was rented to a guest for overnight stay yesterday. I was in tears and at the same time furious looking at the condition of my home. They were all boys and normally I do not rent it to all boys because I have heard enough stories of how destructive they were. The booking had come through my agent and I had refused to take it but my agent had assured me that they were decent and will be using everything carefully. When they checked in also I personally spoke to them and warned them that they have to behave else I will ask them to leave the property at any time.

Till midnight I was checking and everything was fine, but morning gave me a shock. My caretaker told me that after mid night they all got drunk and that's where all the chaos started. I called them up and gave a good piece of my mind but then in my heart I feel so pained and disgusted that such dirty people came and used my home. The feeling is miserable. I have taken security deposit amount from them, which I did not return and morning I asked them to vacate immediately.

My heart is so heavy today with all of this. I have built up my home with so much love and care and take care of every detail. I am always thinking how can I make my guest experience better and keep upgrading in services and amenities. When people come and mess it up like this it breaks my heart. It is so difficult to judge people at the time of booking. When people book, they are all nice and courteous and they assure us that they will use the home with care but once they are drunk they start misbehaving. A little here and there is ok, which I can understand but the kind of damage and mess these people have made is intolerable.

That's the bag stand which is kept in the bedroom, they brought it out and threw it in the swimming pool. I have no words for this kind of disgusting behavior. They must be so drunk and out of their mind that they have done all of this.

Their own clothes are lying messy outside and besides this a lot of mess in the gazebo area. Totally disgusting :-(

This is the utility stairs for maintenance work which is kept in the shaft, they removed it from there and climbed up on it at night. I wish one of them had fallen from it and broken their head then only they would have come to their senses probably.

Educated people behave like this so bad and filthy. People think that if they pay money and rent it they can do any nonsense. I am in the city right now and I will be leaving in some time for this home. I want to be there today and do some energy clearing also, because such people can spoil the energy of my home with their bad vibes and actions.

People think that if they pay money and rent it they can do any nonsense.

You should ask the Agent to pay for it, then only he will realize.

Wow... 😔 That is so disrespectful toward the homeowners who gave them a home to sleep over and made them have a nice time... I can't believe that some people can be pigs like that and make such a mess for just one night!

I hope you will have enough money to cover expenses from their deposit, but if you can also sue them, that might be a good idea too... Not sure that they will learn something if they have to pay for all the damage, but probably not... if they are spoiled rich kids, they will never learn... 😈

Nowadays these cases are really increasing. People are actually lacking the basic sense to live in someone's house sensibly, they really feel to do anything if they are not under any supervision. This mess and destruction is really massive, trusting a group of boys for not making any sorts of mess is really expensive these days. It's so bad that they were not able to manage and behave well for a few time in your apartment.

So saddening to read! The drastic change from being well behaved while booking to utterly disrespectful after they've got the place is a practical experience on why you can't judge a book by its cover. I think working more on your screening process could help on preventing such occurrences again.

Yes, right. It's part of the cost of doing business. I think over time and with more experience, it'll be easier to discern these type of customers and stop doing business with them.
