On 4th was hubby's birthday and we had a celebration for him with family and friends. My Son has also come to Muscat to be a part of our celebrations and so is my mom with me, so it was a very joyful time having everyone around for his special day. During the day we had a nice cozy family lunch with some special traditional dishes, which again was made by hubby himself. He is a very good cook and on special occasions he takes over the kitchen.

In the evening we had arranged for a party for him with our friends. We had an amazing time, we had outsourced the catering part, since there were many people. We were around 50 of us so there was no way that I could do any cooking at home. The venue was one of my friends villa pool side garden. We wanted to have the celebrations and keep it economical also. The venue was free of cost for us which saved a big amount and the catering was very reasonable. Before finalizing on this one, we were on a hunt in the city for the venue, but all of them were expensive and the cost was coming to 4 times our budget. Then my friend offered her place, which could easily accommodate 50 to 60 people. The only thing was that we had to do a lot of arrangements by ourself, which was perfectly ok for me.

The show stealer for the evening was the cake, which I got it made from a lady who is well known for her cakes. I wanted something different and unique. I shared my idea with her and she created it for me. It turned out to be one of the best cakes that I have ever had and not only me, but everyone who had it had the same feeling. It was a chocolate mousse cake topped with all berry fruits.

The next day then hubby treated us with a dinner at one of the finest restaurants in town. The name of the restaurant is Ba Ban. Specialty of this restaurant is Peking Duck, my son loves it so he planned this for him. It was an extended celebration and needless to say again that it was a very beautiful evening with my dear ones.

Life is beautiful when we have our family by our side and spending time with them is the best thing to do. These are some precious moments. I always believe in celebrating all these moments, not only do they bring a lof of joy but they also bond us and create happy memories of life.
