A day excursion - Trekking and Temple Visit - Part 2

Continuing with my trekking and temple visit journey; after walking around an hour, we come to a village and almost everyone knows my guide at the village. She told me before, her home was in this village and that's why everyone knows her. The locals were greeting us and asking us what we were up to. She told them that we were trekking up to the temple, and no one was believing it. Everyone thought that I would not be able to do it, I guess they have this belief that city people are weak and fragile and they could not do these rough adventures. Some of them even laughed but then I told them, I will meet them again in the return and we continued.

That's the government school of the area.

The real fun begins now when we start climbing up

The base of this hill is a picnic spot, lot of people come here to spend leisure time

My guide does not want to stop; she is on a spree. I had to tell her to take some halts and relax after that she slowed down a bit. I am really amazed that wearing a saree and normal chappals she is climbing up so effortlessly. I told her with her skills she can easily climb up Mount Everest :-) and yes I am serious about it.

After climbing up the hill, which was another an hour then we reached to the beginning of the stairs which would take us to the Temple. From here on we had to climb 500 steps. Not very difficult, except for some parts where the steps were very high. On both sides of the steps there are shops selling all prayer items. I always avoid to buy these things, with all due respects to those who buy, my belief is that God does not need these offerings, one should have faith in mind and purity in heart and that's what God wants.

Along with prayer items there are sweet and other accessories shops too.

We have almost reached the temple.

At the top it was crowded and there must be at least 400 to 500 people waiting in the queue to get into the temple. Looking at that I was wondering when we would finish, but then she, being a local, had her ways. She took me to a side entry, which is VIP entry and we got in from there. In 5 minutes, we were inside the temple, it was super quick. Photography was not allowed at the temple, so I could not take any pictures there. After doing our prayers, which was all very peaceful and nice we came to the side, which offered views of my home.

Where I have marked is the area of my home, it's far so cannot see it clearly.

After the Temple visit, we also visited the Karla caves which are nearby and very famous. I will share that story some other time. On our return we met the same people and I was so happy to tell them that we completed our mission successfully. They too smiled and greeted me pleasantly.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

I think non city dwellers have enough experience of city dwellers underperforming on such adventures that's why their first impression was you wouldn't be able to do it. Beautiful scenery as you're going up the hill, the greenery looks so vibrant and alive!

They believe that city people are weak and fragile, that's the general misconception
