Oriental Magpie-Robin

In today's post, I am sharing two moments of our national bird, the Doel. In one picture, it is standing on a wooden pole, and in the other, it is on the ground, as if looking intently for something.

Although the Doel bird is very ordinary, its presence brings a unique peace. When it sits on the pole, its gaze is far away—calm, still, as if it is watching nature with its own eyes.

And when it walks or stands on the ground, a curiosity works within it—looking for insects in the soil, or observing its surroundings. Each of its gestures is an indication of a deep connection with nature.
