🌱 ¿Hasta qué punto tenemos responsabilidad ambiental? [ESP-ENG]

Hola, amigos de la comunidad de Humanitas, espero que se encuentren bien. Hoy hablaré un poco sobre la responsabilidad con el medio ambiente. Casi todos sabemos que el mundo en el que hoy habitamos está completamente infectado de falta de cuidados al planeta, entre ellos el más común, que es preservar nuestros propios espacios, como el área donde vivimos y la ciudad en la que habitamos. El mundo se encuentra cada vez más deteriorado y no se ve un futuro muy prometedor, por lo que hay que empezar desde ahora a tener un cambio de mentalidad y buscar poner nuestro granito de arena para mejorar en lo que esté a nuestro alcance.

Hello, friends of the Humanitas community, I hope you are well. Today I will talk a little bit about the responsibility with the environment. Almost all of us know that the world we live in today is completely infected with lack of care for the planet, among them the most common, which is to preserve our own spaces, such as the area where we live and the city we live in. The world is increasingly deteriorated and we do not see a very promising future, so we must start now to have a change of mentality and seek to do our bit to improve what is within our reach.

Los que vivimos en la ciudad podemos darnos cuenta de que hay una cantidad de industrias y de compañías que producen gran parte de basura para el medio ambiente, afectando el aire puro que es vital para el ser humano. Tal vez no sintamos gran diferencia, pero con el pasar del tiempo la situación cada vez está peor; hay incluso lugares tan infectados que producen un gran malestar en sus habitantes, llegando a contraer enfermedades por el mismo aire contaminado. Es casi imposible poder vivir en un lugar donde no puedes ni respirar porque ya te enfermas y destruyes tu salud.

Those of us who live in the city can realize that there are a number of industries and companies that produce a great deal of garbage for the environment, affecting the clean air that is vital for human beings. Perhaps we do not feel much difference, but as time goes by the situation is getting worse and worse; there are even places so infected that they produce a great discomfort in their inhabitants, getting to contract diseases by the same polluted air. It is almost impossible to live in a place where you can't even breathe because you get sick and destroy your health.

Se han hecho campañas mundiales sobre la concientización del cuidado del ambiente, la fauna y la tierra, llegando a conocer posibles soluciones que serían desechar la basura dividiéndola en plásticos y otro tipo de desechos. Esto me parece una buena idea, aunque a las personas nos cuesta incluso hacerlo, y me incluyo, porque no tenemos un hábito que nos permita realizarlo y en el país tampoco hay gran atención ante esta problemática. Por lo que he visto, hay muchas personas que piensan que existen personas que se encargan, por ejemplo, de limpiar las calles y con esta idea deciden desechar su basura en cualquier lugar, como en la calle; que es habitual ver personas desde sus carros o en el transporte público tirar cosas que deberían llevarse hasta que consigan un lugar para deshacerse de ellos, ya sea en su propio hogar o en algún pote de basura.

There have been worldwide campaigns on the awareness of the care of the environment, the fauna and the earth, getting to know possible solutions that would be to discard the garbage by dividing it into plastics and other types of waste. This seems to me a good idea, although it is difficult for people to do it, and I include myself, because we do not have a habit that allows us to do it and in the country there is no great attention to this problem. From what I have seen, there are many people who think that there are people who are in charge, for example, of cleaning the streets and with this idea they decide to throw their garbage anywhere, like in the street; that it is common to see people from their cars or in public transport throwing things that they should take with them until they get a place to dispose of them, either in their own home or in a garbage can.

Parte del cuidado ambiental viene de tener la capacidad de ser conscientes de que debemos cuidar lo que hacemos en el mundo que nos acoge; no podemos esperar que todo lo hagan entes gubernamentales o grupos que se encargan de llevar la consigna de que el ambiente se debe cuidar. Es algo que para mí viene del sentido común, pero hay personas que no analizan la situación y mucho menos les importa que el ambiente sea cuidado y que sus desperdicios terminen en cualquier lugar. Es falta de ser responsables con lo que hacemos y tener el respeto por lo nuestro, no esperar a que otros resuelvan algo de lo que también tenemos algo de culpa que suceda.

Part of environmental care comes from having the ability to be aware that we must take care of what we do in the world that welcomes us; we cannot expect everything to be done by government entities or groups that are in charge of carrying the slogan that the environment must be taken care of. It is something that for me comes from common sense, but there are people who do not analyze the situation and much less care that the environment is cared for and that their waste ends up anywhere. It is a lack of being responsible with what we do and having respect for what is ours, not waiting for others to solve something that we are also somewhat to blame for happening.

Me gusta ver cuando estoy en la calle y los espacios están cuidados y limpios, pero sobre todo ver a las personas guardar ese plástico del dulce que se estaban comiendo o el vaso del helado que degustaron. Hay que crear conciencia desde los más pequeños de que, así como debemos recibir respeto, debemos respetar lo que nos rodea, y la tierra es el lugar que nos permite vivir dentro de ella. No somos dueños del mundo y, mucho menos, debemos tener la ignorancia de decir que ese trabajo de limpieza o cuidado lo deben hacer otros y mirar hacia un lado como si estuviera bien el no cuidar de los espacios que nos rodean.

I like to see when I am on the street and the spaces are cared for and clean, but above all, I like to see people put away the plastic of the candy they were eating or the glass of ice cream they tasted. We must create awareness from the youngest that, just as we must receive respect, we must respect what surrounds us, and the earth is the place that allows us to live within it. We are not the owners of the world and, much less, we should have the ignorance to say that the work of cleaning or care should be done by others and look aside as if it were okay not to take care of the spaces around us.

Somos muy responsables de lo que pasa en el ambiente y, aunque una sola persona no logra un gran cambio, lo que sí logra es que otros tomen la iniciativa de respetar los espacios que compartimos y buscar siempre cuidar de cualquier forma el ambiente. Todo comienza desde el ejemplo y, si comenzamos desde casa a concientizar a nuestros pequeños y también a los más adultos, podemos lograr en algún momento vivir en un espacio más limpio, en un lugar que se sienta puro y en el que podamos disfrutar muchos años mientras la vida nos lo permita. No se necesitan grandes cantidades de dinero; simplemente, con no tirar basura a las calles y cuidar de los animales, quienes también sufren y deberían estar en su hábitat donde puedan sentirse bien y ser libres, es un gran paso para ese planeta Tierra cuidado y preservado.

We are very responsible for what happens in the environment and, although a single person does not achieve a great change, what it does achieve is that others take the initiative to respect the spaces we share and always seek to take care of the environment in any way. Everything starts from example and, if we start at home to raise awareness among our children and adults, we can achieve at some point to live in a cleaner space, in a place that feels pure and in which we can enjoy many years as long as life allows us to do so. No large amounts of money are needed; simply by not throwing garbage in the streets and taking care of animals, who also suffer and should be in their habitat where they can feel good and be free, is a great step towards a planet Earth that is cared for and preserved.
