Film Review || 🎬 Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person [ESP/ENG]
Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren bien. El día de hoy quiero compartirles mi opinión acerca de la película Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person, realmente no sabía que esperar de este film que me llamó mucho la atención ya que tenía años sin ver una historia acerca de vampiros después de ver la saga de Twilight, fue una grata sorpresa y me alegra haberla visto ya que a pesar de haber sido estrenada en el año 2023, creo que hasta ahora es que se está dando a conocer más entre los cinéfilos.

Today I want to share with you my opinion about the movie Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person, I really did not know what to expect from this film that caught my attention because I had years without seeing a story about vampires after seeing the Twilight saga, it was a pleasant surprise and I'm glad I saw it because despite being released in the year 2023, I think that until now is that it is becoming more known among moviegoers.
Está historia de vampiros no es la típica dónde podemos ver a dos adolescentes enamorarse y luego vivir juntos en medio de los cambios que requiere ser parte de la vida de estos seres oscuros. En la película la protagonista se llama Sasha, ella es una joven vampira que desde temprana edad muestra el rechazo de tener que asesinar humanos para poder alimentarse y vivir como lo hacen sus padres que son vampiros también. Lo que los lleva a pensar que hay algo que no está del todo bien en Sasha, que ella no es cómo los demás vampiros.
This vampire story is not the typical one where we can see two teenagers fall in love and then live together amidst the changes required to be part of the life of these dark beings. In the film the protagonist is called Sasha, she is a young vampire who from an early age shows the rejection of having to kill humans to feed and live as do their parents who are also vampires. This leads them to think that there is something not quite right about Sasha, that she is not like other vampires.
En medio del crecimiento de Sasha, es expuesta a situaciones en donde podría consumir la sangre humana pero ella simplemente la rechaza por la idea de que no está bien para ella asesinar a seres humanos a pesar de que es algo normal para los vampiros y toda su familia. Por lo tanto, Sasha crece sin probar sangre directamente de humanos y con la falta de sus colmillos que por alguna extraña razón no han crecido. Sus padres deciden cómo última opción enviarla con una prima vampira para que ella le enseñe a cazar y ser cómo los demás.
In the midst of Sasha's growth, she is exposed to situations where she could consume human blood but she simply rejects it because of the idea that it is not right for her to murder humans even though it is normal for vampires and her entire family. Therefore, Sasha grows up without tasting blood directly from humans and with the lack of her fangs that for some strange reason have not grown. Her parents decide as a last resort to send her to a vampire cousin so that she can teach her how to hunt and be like the others.
Pero las cosas se complican cuando en medio del dilema de Sasha por no querer asesinar a nadie, se encuentra una escena donde un joven desconocido está a punto de acabar con su vida y el se da cuenta de que ella lo descubre en pleno acto. A partir de allí Sasha empieza una extraña amistad con Paul quien es un joven que tiene pensamientos suicidas y que desea acabar con su vida ya que tiene demasiados conflictos existenciales y además de esto, es víctima del bullying en su escuela y en su lugar de trabajo.
But things get complicated when in the middle of Sasha's dilemma for not wanting to murder anyone, she finds a scene where a young stranger is about to end his life and he realizes that she discovers him in the middle of the act. From there Sasha begins a strange friendship with Paul who is a young man who has suicidal thoughts and wants to end his life because he has too many existential conflicts and in addition to this, he is a victim of bullying at school and at his workplace.
Ambos dos seres asociales que no tienen nada en común más que ser extraños para el resto del mundo de alguna forma se comprenden y empiezan una amistad. El dilema está en que Sasha empieza a tener deseos de consumir sangre humana y tiene la posibilidad de matar a Paul y este tiene toda la intención de que ella lo haga, pero por los propios temores de Sasha y el sentimiento de culpa al formar un lazo de amistad con Paul, no sabe que hacer con la terrible idea de matarlo y saciar su hambre o hacerle ver qué puede tener una vida diferente a pesar de que él sienta que no pertenece a este mundo.
Both two asocial beings who have nothing in common other than being strangers to the rest of the world somehow understand each other and begin a friendship. The dilemma is that Sasha begins to have a desire to consume human blood and has the possibility of killing Paul and he has every intention of making her do it, but because of Sasha's own fears and the feeling of guilt at forming a bond of friendship with Paul, she does not know what to do with the terrible idea of killing him and satisfying his hunger or making him see that he can have a different life even though he feels he does not belong in this world.
Es una película bastante rápida de ver y muy divertida, me gustó el tono en que fueron editadas las escenas, de una forma sombría y con este efecto de terror en medio de una historia que no da nada de miedo, de hecho te saca unas cuantas sonrisas y te hace replantearte cómo los jóvenes pueden tener tantas dudas acerca de su propio destino y lugar en el mundo. Disfrute mucho la química entre los actores Sara Montpetit (Sasha) y Félix-Antoine Bénard (Paul), quienes hicieron que se sintiera como si viéramos un romance poco convencional que a la vez podría ser visto como una historia más donde dos adolescentes se enamoran.
It's a pretty quick movie to watch and a lot of fun, I liked the tone in which the scenes were edited, in a somber way and with this horror effect in the middle of a story that is not scary at all, in fact it brings out a few smiles and makes you rethink how young people can have so many doubts about their own destiny and place in the world. I really enjoyed the chemistry between actors Sara Montpetit (Sasha) and Félix-Antoine Bénard (Paul), who made it feel like we were watching an unconventional romance that could be seen as just another story where two teenagers fall in love.
La película que fue dirigida por Ariane Louis-Seize y que es de género comedia negra y drama, mezcla de manera muy eficaz la historia de vampiros que ya conocemos con una que se desarrolla de forma diferente enfrentando la vida de dos adolescentes de diferentes mundos que se comprenden de una manera tan magnífica que te hace disfrutar mucho de la historia. Me encantó la manera en la fue desarrollada la trama, el soundtrack que le dió el toque de misterio e ironía, la atmósfera misteriosa y oscura típica de historias de vampiros, todo esto con un buen elenco hicieron que tuvieran una buena receptividad con el público y en lo personal a mí me gustó mucho, fue ver algo fresco y diferente a lo que se ve hoy en día en las historias de adolescentes. Así que se las recomiendo por si no la han visto y si tienen la oportunidad de hacerlo me gustaría saber que más les gustó después de verla 😊.
The film, which was directed by Ariane Louis-Seize and is a black comedy and drama genre, mixes in a very effective way the vampire story that we already know with one that develops in a different way facing the lives of two teenagers from different worlds that understand each other in such a magnificent way that makes you enjoy the story a lot. I loved the way the plot was developed, the soundtrack that gave it the touch of mystery and irony, the mysterious and dark atmosphere typical of vampire stories, all this with a good cast made them have a good receptivity with the public and personally I liked it a lot, it was to see something fresh and different from what is seen today in the stories of teenagers. So I recommend it in case you haven't seen it and if you have the opportunity to do so I would like to know what else you liked after watching it 😊.
