¿Cuáles son los valores humanistas fundamentales que debemos defender, reinterpretar y promover activamente hoy?
Es fundamental que tengamos en cuenta los valores que deberían estar presentes en nuestro día a día y que deberíamos enseñarle a la futura generación, ya que cada día se ve con más tristeza la pérdida de estos en el ser humano.

What are the fundamental humanist values that we should defend, reinterpret and actively promote today
It is fundamental that we take into account the values that should be present in our day to day life and that we should teach to the future generation, since every day we see with more sadness the loss of these in the human being.

Debemos rescatar el valor de la dignidad; todos somos valiosos como seres humanos y tenemos el deber y el derecho de vivir una vida que predique lo que tanto deseamos ver en los demás. La dignidad no es sólo creerse mejores que los demás, es saber cuándo y cómo podemos ser útiles para la vida de quienes nos rodean, pero más allá de lo que podamos aportar como sociedad, debemos volver a recuperar ese valor que tenemos solo por el simple hecho de existir. Todos somos dignos de amor y de comprensión y es necesario poder enseñarle a los que se ven de manera innecesarios en este plano, que también sus vidas importan.
We must recover the value of dignity; we are all valuable as human beings and we have the duty and the right to live a life that preaches what we want to see in others. Dignity is not only believing we are better than others, it is knowing when and how we can be useful to the lives of those around us, but beyond what we can contribute as a society, we must recover that value we have just for the simple fact of existing. We are all worthy of love and understanding and it is necessary to be able to teach those who see themselves as unnecessary on this plane, that their lives also matter.

El pensamiento crítico es fundamental; también es fundamental recuperarlo. Vivimos en una época en la que solo seguimos muchas veces la corriente y lo que la mayoría ve como lo correcto, pero debemos tener nuestras propias ideas y opiniones de las cosas. No podemos permitir que las decisiones de otros condicionen nuestras vidas. Pensar es parte de lo que nos hace ser seres que podemos tener una opinión de las situaciones de la vida y lo que nos diferencia de la especie animal, pero hoy en día son muy pocas las personas dispuestas a tener ideas propias y no dejarse llevar por las masas.
Critical thinking is fundamental; it is also fundamental to recover it. We live in an era in which we often just go with the flow and what the majority sees as the right thing to do, but we must have our own ideas and opinions about things. We cannot allow the decisions of others to condition our lives. Thinking is part of what makes us beings that can have an opinion of life situations and what differentiates us from the animal species, but today there are very few people willing to have their own ideas and not be carried away by the masses.

Las leyes y la justicia social deberían ser parte importante de nuestra sociedad, donde desde las personas más indefensas hasta las que no cuentan con voz propia puedan tener calidad de vida y desarrollarse como personas dentro de la sociedad sin sentirse excluidos. Se deberían hacer leyes que promuevan la educación como parte primordial para el crecimiento intelectual del ser humano, la salud, donde todos tengan la oportunidad de contar con un lugar al cual acudir cuando es necesario, y que se promuevan leyes a favor de las causas que más requieran importancia, como el cuidado de todos por igual.
Laws and social justice should be an important part of our society, where from the most defenseless people to those who have no voice of their own can have quality of life and develop as people in society without feeling excluded. Laws should be made to promote education as a fundamental part for the intellectual growth of human beings, health, where everyone has the opportunity to have a place to go to when necessary, and to promote laws in favor of the causes that require more importance, such as the care of all equally.

La empatía debería ser fundamental en el mundo como fuerza que transforma la sociedad y que nos hace entender a los demás y sus propias luchas. Poder ponernos en la situación que vive el otro, en su sufrimiento o sus diferencias, ayuda a que seamos una sociedad mucho más unida y dispuesta a forjar un cambio positivo para las futuras generaciones. Todo lo que hagamos bien hacia los demás siempre deja una huella que repercutirá en el futuro y donde nos encontraremos siendo más amables con lo que otros puedan sentir o estar viviendo.
Empathy should be fundamental in the world as a force that transforms society and makes us understand others and their own struggles. Being able to put ourselves in the other person's situation, in their suffering or their differences, helps to make us a much more united society willing to forge positive change for future generations. Everything we do good towards others always leaves an imprint that will have an impact on the future and where we will find ourselves being kinder to what others may be feeling or experiencing.

Y el cuidado de nuestro planeta debe ser de las prioridades más importantes, ya que desde allí podemos alcanzar a vernos en un futuro con un lugar que nos entrega todo lo que necesitamos para vivir diariamente y que en muchas ocasiones sufre explotaciones por nosotros, desde las industrias hasta la falta de consciencia para el cuidado y preservación de la fauna y flora. Sin este lugar llamado Tierra no tendríamos la oportunidad de vivir, así que es necesario poder siempre cuidarla y protegerla frente a tantos problemas ambientales que existen a raíz de la mano del ser humano.
And the care of our planet should be one of the most important priorities, because from there we can see ourselves in the future with a place that gives us everything we need to live daily and that often suffers exploitation by us, from industries to the lack of awareness for the care and preservation of fauna and flora. Without this place called Earth we would not have the opportunity to live, so it is necessary to always be able to take care of it and protect it against so many environmental problems that exist as a result of the hand of the human being.
