Bibi-ka-maqbara: a top sightseeing in Aurangabad

Hello friends!
As i described my traveling story in my previous posts, after sula Vineyard next we proceeded to Aurangabad. At night we stayed at Aurangabad and next morning we went to sightseeing bibi-ka-maqbara. Bibi-ka-maqbara is a beautiful construction and top sightseeing attraction in Aurangabad.

How to reach there:

Bibi-ka-maqbara is located approximately 3-4 km outside the city (Aurangabad, Maharastra).

We went there from nashik(sula Vineyard). Distance is 190 km and it took almost 3 hours to reach there.

From Nashik distance is 170 km.

From pune distance is 235 km.

From Mumbai distance is 420 km.

About bibi-ka-maqbara:

Bibi-ka-maqbara is a beautiful muselousm of Aurangzeb's wife , rabia-ud-durrani. This museloem constructed by her son prince azam shah. Or we can say price azam shah constructed this muselousm in memory of his mother.
Construction starts in 1651 and Construction completed in 1661.

Also known as Taj of Deccan or dakkhani taj. Due to its resemblance of the taj mahal in agra.

Fortunately i got chance to visit both place this year. In june we visited to taj mahal. In following pictures I'll show you both monuments, let's have a look :

I was also suprised when i visit bibi-ka-maqbara, how similar and beautiful both monuments look.

Architecture of bibi-ka-maqbara :

The beautiful mausoleum stands within an enclosed area measuring 458×275 meters approximately. It is built on a high square platform of polished red porphyritic stone.
The lower part of the mausoleum along with its dome are made with white marble while the middle portion is of basaltic trap plastered by a fine coat of lime, rendered with a marble finish and adorned with stucco work.

The interior portions of the mausoleum is decorated with beautiful cravings.
If you want to know more about it, please read this. I also take help for the information.

I captured this picture there outside the mausoleum.

My experience:

We witnessed this beautiful mausoleum in the morning about 10 am. First we buy tickets worth 25 INR. After we went inside. First we saw a gate :

After enter this gate we can enjoy the beauty of bibi-ka-maqbara:

We saw that at the entrance...it is a good way to know more about it. I also scanned and read the details while visiting there.

Also find that boards where we can read all information in both Hindi and English language.

After enjoying beauty from outside we steeped inside the mausoleum.

We climbed stairs to reach the top of the plinth, And than enter the mausoleum. After entering we saw grave which is down below.

This is the grave of queen Rabia-ud-durrani on the lower level. Here you can see lot's of coins and money on the green chaddar. First when i looked down i didn't understood the reason than i searched about it. I read that muslim graves in India often turn into places of worship. People make a wish and leave an offering of money on the grave. I also did it:-)
Even I don't know about the fact that where all money go ? Or still all money here , no one can use it 😅if you know about it please let me know.

one minaret out of the four Minaret of the mausoleum near the tomb.

These are the garden pictures of bibi-ka-maqbara. It is really a beautiful garden. This area is dry still garden is well mentained and beautiful. It is really a appreciable thing. I wish i could visit there at sunset.

Bibi-ka-maqbara is the historical landmark of Aurangabad. Always feel good after visiting that historical, cultural and tourist significant place. I am so happy to visit both place bibi-ka-maqbara and taj Mahal.
Hope you also like that visit 😀

Thanku sooo much for your time, support and love 🤍💫
