Quad in the wild. Mobile photography.

While in the mountains, one of my family members suggested going for a quad ride through the forest. We went uphill on narrow paths, breaking sticks, climbing up, sliding, and hitting bumps that almost jarred your back. It looked like fun, but I can tell you, riding those machines is really demanding. One thing you should be aware of while riding is not to disturb nature too much. These machines are noisy and can be loud, which isn’t ideal for wildlife. It’s always nice to consider where you’re using them.

Will I try it again? Well, I don’t think this kind of activity is my thing. It seems I’m not a petrolhead—I tried motocross in the past, and my feelings were similar. I guess for me, it’s easier to enjoy nature in peace, walking around and picking mushrooms.

I’ve never been comfortable with open motorized vehicles. Motorcycles and Quads make me feel too vulnerable. High speeds, no belt, no enclosure to absorb impact. Just my soft sack of cells flying around unprotected 😬
Yikes, not my thing.
I get why people enjoy it though. There is a type of freedom, having little between you and nature, getting to places fast and in tough to get to areas.
Great photos you took!
A keen eye 😎
