5 minute freewrite 2975 prompt norm

The cold weather finally went back home. We are back to our norm with temperatures, and I love it. It was close to 80 today. The dog is back to lying in front of the fan.

Today I got caught up on the weed pulling. I have worked all day for the last two days pulling them. I also made lures to troll jacks with and got the boat ready to fish tomorrow.

I told my sister we were not going to pompano fish anymore because of her hand. I told her I did not want to do to her hand what fishing has done to mine. She did not like it, but it is my boat, and I am the captain, and I say what we are going to fish for. I would rather catch pompano, but when she told me she cried while trying to paint a house, I knew what caused it.

The other fishermen caught pompano yesterday, but they would not bite bait, they caught them jigging. I know her hand would never hold up doing that.

My husband went today and caught us some mullet with roe to put in the freezer. It is nice to have the roe, but he needs to catch the mullet in the summer when they are full of fat. This time of year, they have roe and not much fat. He caught more than he wanted to clean, he gave some to a guy in a canoe, and he said he saw a man standing on a dock throwing a small net. He pulled in to the dock and asked the man if he wanted some of his mullet. He gave the guy 16 of them.
