5 minute freewrite 2923 prompt a can full of kisses

This is my post for #freewriters 2923 prompt a can full of kisses hosted by @mariannewest
The weather is supposed to be ok to fish tomorrow, and since I have been having trouble with my motor starting, I wanted to start it today. It would not start. It sounded like the battery was dead, but I charged it two days ago, so it shouldn't be dead. I hooked the battery charger to it and an hour later, it was charged. As dead as it was, it should have taken all day to charge.
My husband asked what was going on, and I explained what I did. He got a heavy battery cable and used vice grips to connect it to the positive battery post. The other end he held to the positive side of the cylinoid. It still would not start. He did the same with the negative side, which told him it was not my cables.
I have been having trouble with the starter not disengaging, and I would have to pull the pull rope to get it to engage. We decided the starter finally went out. I ordered one from Amazon, thinking I could get it overnight, uh, I thought wrong. Well, I could for 67 dollars shipping on top of the 53 dollars for the starter. Shipping is more than the starter. Free shipping, which I chose, will be here between the 20th and 24th of this month. So we are out of fishing for a few days.

Since we will not be fishing, I told my sister we need to get more sandfleas. She kept complaining about my husband's bucket, it is hard to pull on the beach with the skinny tires.

I figured I would surprise her with a bucket with wide tires. I was using a hacksaw to cut the pipe handle. With my right hand having bone on bone, I had to saw left handed. I had the pipe cut to where only a small piece was holding it from coming off. The hacksaw came apart and my pointy finger knuckle hit the just cut part of the pipe. It brought tears. I have a slice right through the middle of the knuckle. I felt like I could use a can full of kisses, and a few hugs.

I called my sister and asked on her way home if she would stop and buy a can of expanding foam and bring it to me. One of the wheels I used had a hole in it, and I thought I would fill it with the foam to keep it from filling with beach sand. I asked my sister to do it, she tried but said the hole was not big enough, the foam would not go in it. She smeared it over the hole. I do not think it will stay, so when we are not going fleaing, I will drill a bigger hole in it and fill it with the foam.
