This is my post for #freewriters 2906 prompt merchant of death hosted by @mariannewest

I remember my Dad had a U-Haul-type trailer, and the back was open, with several men standing around it. I walked over to see what they were looking at. Dad had a lot of guns in it, one of them was a Gatling gun. At that time, I did not understand why my Dad had these or where they went after that day because I never saw them again, and Dad was gone for a while with them.

Later in life, I found out what the guns were for and where Dad and a lot of the fishermen with big boats went. President Kennedy approved the Bay of Pigs invasion, and on April 17, 1961, around 1,200 exiles, armed with American weapons and using American landing craft, waded ashore at the Bay of Pigs in Cuba.

When I googled who supplied the guns for the invasion, Google said The CIA: Directed the operation and recruited, trained, and armed the Cuban exiles. Does this mean my Dad worked for the CIA, or was he a merchant of death?.....

I took my son to see the wound care doctor today. She cleaned the bite on his cheek and said both it and the staples in his leg looked good, but she did not want to take the staples out yet.

She said the bite is almost all the way through his cheek, and she could see his facial nerves. She had him smile and said she is happy the nerves are not damaged.

I was given a patch called silver something, and I am to cut a square from it to put in the bite hole, and a bandage over it. I asked if I had to press it in the hole like she did, and she told me it can go around the edge, and if I press on it, it will sink in. This hurts my stomach and heart.

Hepar sulph 30c or 200c, twice a day! Oh my that looks horrible! Those silver patches don't do shit.

Cool story about your father though. Is there any way to find out more?
