5 minute freewrite 2785 prompt reserve

Rudy did not attack me this evening, he sat and watched as I put all his greens in his pen, but he would not let me pet him. As I stood at his cage and talked to him, he was talking back to me, he makes a cute clicking sound, it was not the growl like he did yesterday. Then I noticed the cabbage, it might be why he was not feeling good. I need to lay off giving it to him. The only other thing he had not had before was turnip greens, so either of them might make his stomach hurt. If that was what was wrong with him.

I always like to see which thing he goes for first. Tonight it was the dandelion stem with flowers. Most of the time, it is sweet potato vine.

Every evening when I clean his cage, I give him a carrot. The last two days, he would not take it from me, today, he did. My daughter walked up and said, "Did you give him a cookie?". She bought treats for him, one she calls cookies and the other are doughnuts. I told her no, but she can give it to him.

She sticks a cookie up to the hole in his house, and he takes it. Then she gets a doughnut and holds it up there, and he takes it, too. She says, "Good Lord, is he hibernating, as to say is he keeping them for a reserve? I told her he must have them stashed in there, he could not eat that fast.
