This is my post for #freewriters 2784 prompt mild illness hosted by @mariannewest

Rudy gave me quite a scare last night. It was 10pm before he came out of his house. He is usually up between 6 and 7pm. I tried to pet him, and he growled at me, then attacked my hand.

This evening, he is eating his carrot, but would not take it from me, and he seems to be over his mild illness, but now he has turned mean. He is ready to pounce on me. Why would he turn mean? Like overnight, maybe his belly hurts, and he doesn't understand why.

I put this plastic dish between me and him, and he attacked it like he was Muhammad Ali fighting a championship round. His front feet were hitting it as fast as he could hit. Then, when I went to move it, he ran into his house.

When animals get sick, they may have strange and unusual behaviors. I hope he gets better soon

Thank you, I was wondering if he had a stomachache. I have been giving him cabbage, and that might be it, or turnip greens.
