5 minute freewrite 2749 prompt monstrous hangover

Today, my daughter and I set up our new pool. When she saw the size of it, she said, "way to go, Mom." It was getting late, and I wanted to go inside so it will not get filled all the way tonight.

We started filling it around 11 today and it is 6 this evening. I had two hoses going to it. It has a few more inches to go, but we can finish it tomorrow. The book said it takes 4,440 gallons of water. My husband helped put the top cover on it. I was going to leave it off, but he thought it should be covered. I thought I would have to buy one for it, and was happy to see it came with it.

My husband did something that I do not think he has ever done. He fished today and said he never got a bite from any kind of fish, not even a catfish. He is now sitting outside drinking a beer. If I had fished that long and never got a bite, I would have had several beers and would wake with a monstrous hangover. It is a good thing I do not drink like that, if I do, it is only a couple of beers, and I am done.

I had to have my husband take me to the dock so I could feed my bait, my sister was supposed to do it but she asked if he could. Later she called and said she just woke up, she took a long nap. I told her I got all of the pigfish traps out of the boat and put everything we needed to fish with back in it. I took everything out so I would have room for the traps when I pulled them for the long weekend.

Then my husband took me to get my ice for tomorrow. After that he had to take me to the gas station and fill my truck with gas. Don't ever take your ability to drive yourself around for granted. I am not adjusting well to my new way of life.

On my town's social media page, someone found a woman's wallet on the highway, so they posted a picture of her driver's license in case someone knew her and said she would hold it for an hour and then take it to the police dept. Someone else posted back and said she would not be picking it up, and they posted a mug shot of the woman and the police report. It said she was arrested on the river at channel marker 67. I did not click it to read the reason for her arrest, but by the looks of her mug shot, when she woke in jail this morning, she had to have a monstrous hangover.
