Yesterday, my sister and I talked about which truck we would hook to the boat this morning, mine or hers. We used hers the last time we went and had to extend the ground wire and the chains on the trailer before we could hook it to her truck. I said since we already had it set up for her truck, we would take it. So this morning, when she got here and I was in the house getting lunch ready, she changed things over for my truck, and when I came outside, she was backing my truck to the trailer. I wonder if she ever hears what I say. I wanted to take her truck to the boat ramp and when we got in from fishing, we could take mine to the fish house and on the way stop and put gas in it. That did not happen. I have a quarter of a tank of gas, so I guess we can make it to the ramp and home a couple of more times. I wish she would respect me! when I say something.

Today was our second day fishing, and it was a hard fishing day. On our first day fishing my sister said that one day she wanted to catch more than I caught, she did it today, she caught one trout, and I only caught a bluefish.

My husband also fished today, he put his pigfish traps in the river yesterday and not knowing if where he put them would catch, I told him to run my inshore line, I have been getting good bait from that line, he got 90 from it. My sister and I had 130 pigfish in the holding pen, and we ran my other two lines and had another 60 to go with them. My husband also caught one trout. Maybe they just did not want to bite today.

Years ago I remember the old timers talking about trout not biting because it had something to do with them replacing their front teeth. But I thought that happened sometime in late June.
