5 minute freewrite 2734 prompt suntan
This is my post for #freewriters 2734 prompt suntan hosted by @mariannewest
I clean Rudy's cage every day, and while I was away, I told my husband to do the same. I think he did, but Rudy's water bowl was lower than it was when I did it. I did not tell him to dump and clean the bowl with freshwater every day, I thought he would know to do this. I am sure he gave him water, just not sure if he cleaned the waterbowl. I clean his cage in the afternoon before he wakes up for the night. While I am doing this, he sticks his nose out of the hole he made in his house, and I give him a treat. He takes it and goes back inside to sleep for a couple more hours.
When I got home yesterday, I cleaned his cage, but I do not think he knew it was me. Later when he woke, I walked up to the cage and he ran into his house. I said, "Rudy it is me" and he came out and ran back and forth in his cage, then stopped and looked at me. I kept talking to him, and he ran to the door. I opened the door, and he ran over to me and snuggled with my hand and then my face. I think he was happy to see me. The photo is not from yesterday, I did not have my phone on me.
My Granddaughter took this photo of me on Venice Beach Fl. I was the only person on the beach with a long sleeve shirt and long pants. My days of trying to get a suntan have long passed. I do not care if everyone there thinks I am crazy for over dressing, and I did get several looks, but I have had too many skin cancers removed and I know it might be too late to worry about, but I will do what I can to keep from getting more, plus it was overcast and windy and a little on the chilly side for my liking.
I have lost the cartilage between the bones on my right hand and wear a brace to help stop me from moving the bones. It is still very painful trying to do things like using scissors or opening jars, but the brace does help with some of the pain.
When I take the brace off, my arm is two toned. I have a suntan from my knuckles to my fingertips. From my knuckles up my forearm, I have no tan. I guess this is what I would look like if I stayed in the house all of the time.
I usually wear a lightweight long-sleeved shirt for work in the sun. I don't want sunburn, and a tan isn't my goal.
I wear the sun blocking shirts a lot of the time. When I was young I used to lay on the beach and tan, I would burn one time and then I would only get darker.
Even when I was young, I didn't like spending time out in the sun, certainly not just lying there to get a tan. If the temperature is about 65 degrees or less, I can stand to be in the sunshine. I usually wear short sleeve shirts, so I end up with a "farmer tan" from working in the garden.
I guess lying in the sun is a Florida thing.
I think there are people in every region who like to lie in the sun and get a tan. I knew a girl in college who would go outside in her bikini as soon as the snow melted and start on her tan. I'm just not fond of summer heat.
They indeed have sense! His actions suggested that he was happy seeing you! You have good bonds with him :)

Yes he loves me. I was worried he would forget me.
