5 minute freewrite 2733 prompt gem

While I was at the Farmers Market yesterday with my daughter, Granddaughter, and her friend, as they sat down to eat the 9 dollar pretzels they had bought, I went back to the booth where a lady was selling jewelry she had made from gem stones. I wanted to get them something with a full moon, but the lady said her partner used to make jewelry with a full moon, but since she got a boyfriend, she no longer makes jewelry.

Today was my granddaughter's birthday, but I had already given her her gift on the 8th, which was her Mother's birthday. I gave it to her early because it was a camera that printed the photos as you took them, and I thought she would like to have it while we were there.

I gave my granddaughter and her girlfriend the bracelets today and told them they are not birthday gifts, they are gifts because I love them and they will be a memory of our trip.

Last night we played board games. It has been many years since I had played any games, and I enjoyed it, and the few beers I had made it more fun. I won the first game of Yachtzee we played, and lost the rest, maybe that was because of the beer or just my dumb luck. We played Clue, and my daughter won every game, she could have given one of us a chance to win, but she is very competitive.

My Granddaughter drove me home because she wanted to take her dog home with her. I have had the dog for 4 years, but knew one day she would take her, she has been buying the food for the dog. In 3 weeks she will be moving to Virginia and wants to take her dog with her. She now has 3 cats, and I hope the dog will not go after them. These three weeks will tell if the dog will be alright around the cats. She used to live with cats but has not been around any since being with us. I hope it works out for her, and if it doesn't, the dog will always have a home to come back to.
