5 minute freewrite 2691 prompt don't pick that
This is my post for #freewriters 2691 prompt don't pick that hosted by @mariannewest.
Rudy is 467 days old and still as healthy and loved as he can be. What I read was wild rabbits don't live much past a year old but I do not know if that is because they are in the wild. So I do not know if he is considered old or is he still a baby?
Rudy chewed a hole in the side of his box not long after I made it for him. While he sleeps he pushes his bedding up to the hole to close it off. When he hears me putting new food in his cage, he pulls his bedding out of the hole and he looks out, then he takes his head and makes his house jump up and down.
I give him a snack and he is happy, he eats his treat and goes back to bed until just before dark.
There are two different kinds of grass that I have found he likes. One is this wide blade grass and the other you saw in his cage, it is a dark green with a rounded tip, it is his favorite.
This grass looks like he would like it but he did not eat it when I tried giving it to him. So when someone is here helping me collect his food, I have to tell them don't pick that....
Twice today, she ran to the gate barking like she was going to eat someone or something. Each time I got to where I could see, I did not see anything. The last time she did it, I sat down where I could see down the driveway, but whatever it was could not see me.
When I sat down, she got right in front of me, and when I tried to look down the driveway, she kept pushing me backward like she did not want me looking or going that way.
I think it was last year when she barked like that and I saw a bobcat sitting at the end of our driveway. I wonder if that is what she saw this time...
