This is my post for #freewriters 2668 prompt ear brush hosted by @mariannewest
His wife was watching him talk to his friend at the table. The way his head was turned and her wanting to look his way, all she could see was the hair in his right ear and it had her thoughts the way it curled and why was there so much were the thoughts going through her mind so his words being said were lost to her and she was too embarrassed to ask what happened. This is who I think invented the ear brush because if you google it you get this There's not much info about who invented the ear brush "They" say ear scoops and picks have been found from as far back as Roman times but nothing about an ear brush.
I have to say this is the first time I have seen the words ear brush used together, so I googled what they were used for. I was picturing old men with a lot of hair in their ears, all curly and unruly, so this is why I thought it was a wife who thought it needed to be brushed so it did not look so wild so it was her who designed the ear brush.
So I was wrong, again. It is not for brushing the ear hair it is a brush for cleaning the ear canal or the surface of a hearing aid. I am not sure I would put a brush in my ear canal but I guess some do it.
This makes me think about people who cut their nose hairs, I can see giving them a trim if they are hanging out but to cut them all, no, I believe we have nose hair and ear hair for a reason. The hairs help keep things from entering our noses or ears....
My husband ordered these little bags to put over our catlyn guavas this year because of fruit flies we can never eat them. But when the birds started tasting our tomatoes he put the bags on them and they seemed to be working. I said the birds are tasting because that is all they do, they go from one to the other taking only a bite or two.
He had to order 100 of them, I forget what they cost but they were not a bad price. All I did was put the tomatoes in the bag and pull the drawstring together no need to tie it. I tied one and had a hard time getting it untied and they have all stayed by pulling them together. We are going to use them on all our fruiting plants and they work great for catching seeds that I want to save.
