5 minute freewrite 2561 prompt professor of what
This is my post for #freewriters 2561 prompt professor of what hosted by @mariannewest
I would rather pick up a cookbook rather than try to find a recipe online and I have the right cookbook for canning and freezing, meats, vegetables, and fruits. It was first written in 1963 but a copywriter says 1973. You do not need to be a professor of what-ever to figure out the recipes.
It has charts that tell you how many veggies or fruits you need for the jars you want to use.
I was going to make zucchini pickles today, but after thinking about it I decided to work in the yard today since it was going to be our last warm day for a few days.
Before I decided not to make the pickles I pulled a bunch of green onions, the recipe calls for 1 quart of onions but I do not have any regular onions. I think these will work. I am going to use all of the ones I pulled in the recipe I think I will put the green ends in with everything else. I cut the ends off and washed them, they will be good in the fridge for tonight.
There is no need to be a professor of what-ever to make these pickles, or I hope that is the case, I will see tomorrow when I make them.
This book also has a recipe for making lard, if I ever find myself wanting to make it.
The other day my daughter was riding my bike and had a flat tire. She kept saying it happened right after she got her foot stuck in the tire when she was trying to stop. I could not see how the tire got flat from her foot getting caught.
One of her friends was visiting her so I asked if he could help change the tire. When he took the old tube out, I saw why it was flat, her foot must have hit the valve stem. No wonder it would not hold air.
