I am not here to try and tell people how they should vote, I want to tell why I feel the way I feel about things because this blog is for my Children/Grandchildren to look back on my life. I do feel that people have the right to vote the way they think things should be and they should not be forced or shamed into voting any other way than they feel about topics. The one thing that I would like to say is some things are twisted into out and out lies to make people vote differently. This is wrong.
I voted yes on 4. For the ones who do not know what I am talking about, Amendment 4 is about a woman's right to have an abortion. Let me clarify I do not think you should get one just because you do not want a baby, there is adoption for those cases, but if you were raped or if a doctor says your life is in danger if you keep your baby and you need to have one to save your life, then by all means, it should be legal. The woman this is told to are heartbroken over having it done, it is not something they wanted.
To the people who say they are killing babies after they are born, please stop it, maybe I am wrong, but I have never heard of this happening. I do not think there is a doctor anywhere in the world who would do this. I have close friends who think this is true and no matter how much we argue about it, they still think it is going on. I think this is a lie.
I voted yes on Amendment 3, which is to legalize pot. I do not think any plant God intended for us to use should be illegal. What they need to ban is some of the pharmaceuticals that have people getting addicted to. I take painkillers and if pot will help me with the pain, I would much rather take it than the crap I am taking.
I am not going to get into who you should vote for as president, that is your choice, but please look at the facts and who is the best person for the job.
Amendment 1, titled "Partisan Elections for Members of District School Boards," on November's ballot seeks to make school board elections partisan, I voted against it.
The official definition of "partisan" is to strongly support one party, cause or person. Nonpartisan means to be free from party affiliation, bias, or designation. https://www.tallahassee.com/story/news/2024/10/29/florida-amendments-partisan-school-board-elections/75911297007/
I do not think this belongs in our schools, (just my opinion).
Amendment 2 would add the right to fish and hunt to the Florida Constitution.
If 60% of voters agree, it preserves “forever fishing and hunting, including by the use of traditional methods, as a public right and preferred means of responsibly managing and controlling fish and wildlife.”
Supporters say the initiative is needed to protect a cherished cultural heritage of harvesting the bounty of the great outdoors. Opponents counter it's unnecessary and could possibly undermine most hunting and fishing regulations, including another constitutional amendment prohibiting the use of gill nets for fishing.

I agree with this one. It got a big yes from me.

Everyone should vote according to their judgement. Nobody can force others.
Good to hear that you exercised your voting right!
