5 minute freewrite 2418 prompt despair
This is my post for freewriters 2418 prompt despair hosted by @mariannewest
The bee man came today and boy did he have them swarming, he told us to not come too close. I stayed in the house but my husband wanted to work on something on the other side of the yard. They found him and he got excited and ran for the house. In his excitement, he fell but luckily did not get hurt too badly. everything I have heard about bees is you want to stay calm around them, they can sense your despair and if one lands on you, gently blow it off, never swat at them.
We got two full pots plus this one filled a quarter of the way with honeycomb.
We tried to smash the honeycomb through a colander but that was working too slowly.
My husband had a new package of drain sock in his shop so we put the honeycomb in it and he squeezed the honey through it into a pot.
Next he tied a string around the top of the drainsock, and tied the other end to the handle of on of the kitchen cabinets and let the rest of the honey drain that way while squeezing it.
We ended up with 12 quarts of honey and I know we left a bunch in the combs. What a mess that was, I hope we never get bees again.
The bee man left a bee box under our house and said he will come back after dark tonight to get them. I feel sorry for the bees because of the time they had put in to make this much honey, but I can not have my daughter getting stung and the bee man said eventually they will eat their way into our home.

Keep up the good work. 👏🎵
Dear beloved Hive creator,
Coding poet Gudasol here to support you sharing your art + life on Hive.
As a fellow creator, I know how hard it is to get the word out there.
I built cXc.world to help creators like us get more support from the blockchain community + beyond.
Share your music on cXc.world, and copy the Markdown for a easy post includes embedded players for Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud.
That way, you can earn HIVE + stack streams on centralized platforms, as they do still matter.
Not a music creator? No problem. You can still use cXc.world to find + share music you love.
What's next?
Preview the next evolution of cXc, Tetra.earth.
Expose local music from your area!
We're helping grassroots musicians, and you can too by adding their music (no sign up or WAX account required).

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋
We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.
For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
