5 minute freewrite 2258 prompt my opponent

Who else would I write about with the prompt my opponent other than my husband? We are the two on the right, yes that is handcuffs on us. I look back on the handcuffs and wonder if the man my husband borrowed them from knew that they were for our wedding not the wedding night.

My two sisters also got married at the same time as we did, our marriage is the only one that has lasted. For many years we worked together so we were never apart. Until the day I started fishing my boat, this is when he became my opponent, even though the money was going to the same place, it was nice to catch as many or more fish as he caught.

This year will make 38 years since we said our I-dos, I look back and wonder where the time went, it seems like yesterday we were getting married and now we are old and gray. I am not complaining about old and gray, many of my friends never made it this old, I just can not place where the time went. It is true when they say don't blink because I think I did.
