5 minute freesrite 2964 prompt sacred place

After having a nice catch yesterday, we were ready to go this morning. We decided we were not going to stop on the fish that are off the edge of the flatt because we never catch anything out of them. We were going to run until we got to our sacred place. Also, we would not stop for one pompano skipping, I wanted to see two or more.

When we got to Long Point, we saw two skip before we reached our sacred place so we anchored. We caught nothing, We moved, we anchored and caught nothing on every move, all day long.

One time we skipped about 30 of them at one time, they were a tight ball of fish, we anchored and what I thought were big jacks went to striking around us. We had one hook and it started running all of the line from the reel. My sister grabbed the spool so it would break our rig and not take all of our line. After that, I saw what was striking in the pompano, it was 4 to 5 foot bull sharks. We must have had a pompano on, and the shark hit the pompano. We did not catch anything else so we moved.

The next anchoring, we caught one, and I think I was as mad at my sister as I could get. She got the fish to the side of the boat and swung it into where I was standing. I have told her not to do this. The top hook hit me in the leg and hooked in my pants. She is lucky it only got my pants, because she has not seen mad until she hooks me.

We tried every bead and kind of rig that I have, and we could not get them to bite. My husband was catching them, which makes it more maddening because we have the same rigs and the same bait. I did not ask him how many he had, I really did not want to know.
