Todays Activities and Thoughts

Since 2023, I haven't really traveled anywhere. And now, with the country still in a state of political instability, I find myself even less inclined to go anywhere. It's been nearly three months since Ive even been to the city I live near.

But today, I had a reason to go into town to pay the electricity meter bill. Although it's possible to pay the bill via KPay on the phone, I decided to go in person since it had been a long time since I last met up with an old friend.

I took my motorbike and left town using the bypass road. Maybe its because I hadnt been out in a while, but the breeze felt cool and refreshing, and the air seemed clean and pure. Looking at the lush green scenery brought peace to my mind. That must be why people say, When your thoughts feel heavy, take a trip somewhere.

When I arrived at the meter office, I encountered something frustrating that Id like to share. It wasnt a huge issue, but rather something that made me reflect. Were living in modern times now. Technology has advanced. I believed that peoples mentalities had also improved.

Most people were lining up to pay their bills, and I joined the line as well. After a while, more people came and queued up behind me. But then, someone showed up, looked around, and stepped right in front of me in the line. In truth, that person should have gone to the back, but instead, he cut in and stood ahead of me. I couldnt help but wonder: In this age of progress, do people still have such inconsiderate behavior?

So, no matter how rich or educated someone is if they cant even follow basic human etiquette, how can they be trusted with higher responsibilities for a whole country? That thought really stuck with me.

It's rare to find restaurants like this that offer free hot green tea water and palm sugar.
