A Short Story Of R640 Lina

The seaside town is beautiful at dusk. The people in the town make their living by fishing. The town is so far from the big cities that the economy is not developed, and everyone there has no choice but to work as fishermen. In front of a poor house, a couple is holding a baby. Because the couple has to go on a long business trip, they have left their 7-year-old daughter Lina with a neighbor couple.

It had been a day, a week, a month, and Lina's parents had not returned to the seaside town. Lina would wait for her parents to come home every evening, looking at the road where they would go. Every day, the sun would set and the rain would fall, but Lina's parents would not return. Lina's neighbors loved Lina. They would hug her and comfort her, saying that her parents would come back one day. Lina is now 16 years old. Her parents have not returned. Lina grew up in that seaside town with the care of a neighbor couple. Lina's adoptive parents knew that Lina had a good voice and was good at singing. Every evening, Lina would sit on the beach and sing for her adoptive parents and wait for them to return. Everyone loved her singing.

One day, her adoptive parents spoke serious words. "Lina, we don't want you to live a life like ours. You are very talented at singing, Lina. So go compete in the famous Rising Star singing competition. This is your chance to change your life." At the urging of her adoptive parents, Lina went to a prosperous city and entered the Rising Star singing competition. If she's no longer useful, just throw her away." Hearing those words, Lina burst into tears. She felt hate for her parents. Then she broke up with her parents. She told them never to contact her, and Lina returned to the seaside town where her adoptive parents lived. But Lina was fine, but it was too late. When she heard that her adoptive parents had died in the boat accident last month, she was very upset and cried. "Your adoptive parents love you so much. When they see your TV commercials, they say proudly that you are their daughter," Lina's neighbors said. Lina composed songs for her adoptive parents and made a living in the music industry, following her adoptive parents' wishes. Lina often sheds tears whenever she goes to the beach for shows.

I had planned to write a happy ending for Lina, but I had to write this tragic ending because I wanted to show that life takes unexpected turns and happiness is not something that comes easily.
