Monetization

Maybe it's the economy, or it's something else, but I've been really overworking myself for the past few weeks now. The reason is that I've realized that sometimes you have to sacrifice something before you can get something else in return.

In my case, my time and energy are the sacrifice that has to be paid. From trying to stay consistent here on Hive(which isn't going that well) plus growing my X account to 500 followers so I can eventually get my blue tick.

I planned earlier on starting with YouTube but then I wanted to make slow changes without rushing, so I'd rather stick with what I'm already good at for now. That's writing.

Both Hive and X are text-based so I think starting there would be a good choice since I don't have to go get a new phone just to be able to record clean videos.

I think in about 3 weeks now, I was able to grow my X account from 18 followers to almost 80 today. I know it's not that much, but organic as I had to engage with a lot of people and posts and also get to write my own.

Hive has so much potential but my issue there is that I need to find a way to buy more and more without having to sell any Hive.
So that's where other social apps come in as the amount generated would be used to buy more hive and if possible do even more but that's something i know will take time.

Even if it takes 3-5 years to see that happen I'm down for it. Better to do it now than regret not doing it later when the oppurtunuty has gone.

Hi there!

Focus on value and not time for now. When we want to growth in any platform you need to invest what you have the most. I know, I know, the time is the most valuable thing that we have but you need to build it brick by brick.

For example, you post is good, but there is room for improvement:

  • Add more visual

  • link other post from your blog.

  • add more people for contest or reference

  • add sources

  • mention what is the % of your growth (18 to 80)

This is just my humble opinion and I’m not blog writer so I came to your blog to engage in the time that I’m having my coffee ☕️

I get you and I think when it comes to value I’m taking it one step at a time too as I’m trying different types of content and content styles to see which one fits well with the audience. It’s me testing the waters right now to see where I can fit in without trying to be like anyone other than my unique self.

Thanks for the addition and advice. I won't forget that moving forward.
