Built Different

You see, one thing about this life is that you don’t have to get it all right at once. Having it all figured out was what I’ve always set up my life to be because I believe I have the energy and strength of a million humans and a billion spirits. Call me crazy, but I don’t feel, see or think like every other human.

I have actually seen myself to not see things the way others see it since childhood and for that reason, I can say that I know myself enough to not only know what I want but also the reason behind what I want. This to me, seems like I could always have it figured out up until I got to uni at a very young age. All my peers were like two years older than me at that point that it was hard to say I was younger without having to show my birth certificate. It even got to a point where I showed a friend proof of my age, but he still didn’t believe me because he said it could be easily fabricated or something like that.

My life to me is real and also a story that I am writing with my own blood every step of the way until the day I kick this damn thing called bucket. I’ve been really talking about life lately, which is not uncommon for those who read me from time to time.

My values as a human is that I hold the pen to this story, which isn’t the same for many people, because many people's life is all set out for them by others, making them delegate ownership to others. It’s actually a good thing, but for me, I don’t ever want to delegate or let anyone dictate how I live my life. Talk about ego, pride and inner strength or anything you can call it, but after every experience I’ve been faced with that I had to predict the reasons behind peoples actions I am usually right.

Many people just won’t admit that they don’t really know what it is that they are doing in this world, but instead they will tell you that they have it all figured out. This was what a friend of mine told me some months ago about his job, but I informed him that in due time, cut-offs are coming and either he made a move to embrace the remote and freelancing side of life right now or suffer it later is a choice he would have to make.

I sounded almost harsh, but I managed to pass the message with the right emotion that could trigger something in him enough to consider my proposition. Instead, I just got the yes I have heard you type of yes. Fast-forward to today, he is in a deep depression from accumulated debts that his job used to help with before. But now things have changed, and he can’t help but call me to say I was right.

These things are easy to see for some of us, but I just wish everyone would see it too, and that was when it got down to me that we are not built the same. Take it or leave it, some of us are really built for this sh!t.
