Home sweet home? It depends on the neighbours

There's this special feeling people we humans feel anytime we are moving to a new house/environment. One also never knows who he or she will be residing with and this may either turn out to be good or bad which has a very big influence with the flow of the new home.

Among the many things that most of us would like to encounter whenever we are shifting to a new place is to have decent neighbours. While some of us are mainly privileged to occasionally take turns with that kindly neighbor who is always found to be offering solutions to every problem, others are awakened by war all the time.

In my current home, I’m been lucky and blessed to have good neighbors. These set of neighbours are polite, courteous and do not hesitate to help anytime I am stuck.

These guys have helped me a lot to stabilise and to feel quite comfortable knowing that I have people I can turn to. Formally, i may speak to them occasionally, while informally we exchange small talk, may lend tools for cutting the grass and cleaning the surrounding or other work and sometimes even indulge in cooking together.

I am glad and excited to have these sweet neighbours. We treat ourselves like family, go out for picnics together and celebrate our achievements together.

I recall a day when we went out for brunch at a café. We dressed in identical outfits, looking like sisters from the same mother. As we entered the busy café, almost everyone turned to stare at us like we were celebrities.

One of them who was so curious came over to our table and asked if we were quintuplets. We laughed and told him we weren't, but we were good neighbors, enjoying a lovely morning together.

Having good neighbors has made me appreciate the importance of positive relationships .
I have also heard sad stories from my friends and loved ones who have had terrible experiences with their neighbors.

My best friend complained about her neighbour who always organised loud parties late at night which was a big disturbance to the neighbourhood. Even after she was warned, it seemed she became worse.

My bestie complained that sometimes she was drained both mentally and emotionally living close to her. It really created a toxic environment that affected her happiness and peace of mind.

Asking if I would like to have my current set of neighbours changed, without doubt I do not think I would. Although some neighbours may be most challenging to deal with at first, with a little effort and tolerance, they too could become good friends.

Although sometimes you just have to make sure that there are limits and that you can do something if the conditions become intolerable. When dealing with your neighbors you should take time and be able to express your opinions to them and in the event of a disagreement then seek the services of a mediator.

Thus, friendly and caring neighbors can be an added benefit when renting a place, while the opposite can turn into a challenge on a daily basis. Maintaining good relations and the positive attitude around each other should always be taken with keen interest especially in our neighborhoods.

Hopefully, everyone has good neighbors, but if not, try to at least appreciate them when they are good. And if you wind up living next to a Mr. Potter or other highly annoying person, try to be understanding and have a long fuse.

Thanks for reading....

Those neighbors that make so much noise I don’t even get them. You’re renting with people and you choose to always organize parties, that’s so unfair

Keep up the good work. 👏🎵

Dear beloved Hive creator,

Coding poet Gudasol here to support you sharing your art + life on Hive.

As a fellow creator, I know how hard it is to get the word out there.

I built cXc.world to help creators like us get more support from the blockchain community + beyond.

Share your music on cXc.world, and copy the Markdown for a easy post includes embedded players for Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud.

That way, you can earn HIVE + stack streams on centralized platforms, as they do still matter.

Not a music creator? No problem. You can still use cXc.world to find + share music you love.

What's next?

Preview the next evolution of cXc, Tetra.earth.

Expose local music from your area!

We're helping grassroots musicians, and you can too by adding their music (no sign up or WAX account required).

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋

We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.

For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
