Akhil ji, thanks for mentioning me. You are right; it is found mostly in the hot climate of Maharashtra. It has many names here; in Marathi, it is called Kangani or Panjuli. It has many medicinal benefits, but in earlier times, it was used to make natural colours. It is found on the banks of rivers, drains or fields here. It is eaten. Its taste is not very good. But if eaten in excess or according to each person's body nature, it can cause stomach upset, etc. Akhil ji, you have a lot of curiosity about nature. This is a big thing. I like it very much. Thank you.🙏

Thank you so much for this brief information about this plant. I found some videos related to this plant on YouTube but all of them were in some South Indian languages that's why I thought you must know about this plant. Thankfully, I ate only one fruit from this tree and that too just to know its taste and you are right, it was actually not tasty at all. haha!
Nature exists, that's why we exist too! :) 🙏
