Remember Me
Remembering someone is not hard but it's not easy as well. Living the life we wanted is what matters the most in life. Then, wants and desires come because all of us are greedy. We are not content with what we already have. Obviously, due to wanting the life we wanted we became too busy that remembering is not easy.
A loved one may not be included, I mean when we're passionately in love with someone. Of course, forgetting to remember is not in the mind. How could we, if we're in love we hope to see or to be with that person almost every day. Sad but true, we almost forgot our parents and siblings but not just the person we truly love. Well, it's not new because everyone could understand why it feels that way.
While listening to sad songs I suddenly remember them. Not just some strangers, or even friends; I'm referring to blood relationships. Well, brothers and sisters could be bearable since they have their own families like me. The sad songs touch my heart to feel a little heavy. Then my mind thinks of how lonely I am right now remembering how mom is doing right now.
Please don't exaggerate things a little. I've been seeing Mom, maybe once a month. It's just that the quiet night while watching over the store hit me down. Maybe because of my unstable way of thinking, well, I'm hard to understand even people dear to me thought as well. Well, you see, my mind never stopped thinking about even the nonsensical things. I don't know why but, I wonder if there's a way how to.
Then a cold wind blows that creates a ghostly sound while I'm watching the dark surroundings outside. How's Mom as of now? I wonder if she's doing fine? What about her mood or her health? A lot of random thoughts came to my mind all of a sudden. Possibly, I blame myself for not remembering her these days because of being busy wanting and planning a better life in the future.
So "remember me" is about telling myself not to forget her even in the busiest time of my life. It's a reminder for me of how it should be.
Thank you for reading
Day-to-day life, work, and many other things sometimes prevent us from sharing a little more with our loved ones. However, a phone call shortens the distance, and saying “I love you” always makes us present. We must always remember that family is the most important thing.
