Every day is a gift already. How much more when the days turned into a year? To a parent, a first birthday is a mixed feeling from hardships and sacrifices. Joy and fulfilment. These emotions that a parent surely feels seeing their child slowly growing. This might be the beginning but it doesn't mean, a worry for a journey is necessary. Instead, it's a happiness for a parent watching their child learning and growing.
It's her first birthday, obviously, she doesn't know what the world is right now. She's still in the development stage, talking, walking, and understanding her surroundings. Every passing year is a blessing but like a rose, her path will be thorny. As a grown man who is the one who understands well about living. It's important to guide her because there are many things she must understand while surviving.

Mother's words:
“I am grateful and blessed that she turned one last July 11 despite many hardships that we'd faced. 1yr old is still forever grateful that she's in good condition right now and I, as a mother, will continue to pray that God will guide her wherever she is. Overall, happy and fulfilling even though it's challenging being a mother and an educator.”

No one knows what tomorrow brings but when it's a day of birthday. Like in a fantasy, a day should be filled with colors and magic. It's not spoiling but it's a way of showing love. After all, a parent will do anything for her child no matter how hard life is. A child's smile is the brightest to a mother. Even if it's exhausting and sometimes draining working hard. A child's presence is enough to relieve it all.
So, it's okay to give the best to the one who shines brightest. It's satisfying for a parent for sure seeing their child very happy. It's the birthday of the child but the parents who is happiest. That's how a parent should be to their child.
