Hello Hive| My New Life
It’s been ages I guess since I wrote in Hive regularly. Writing is my passion, it is my escape from hardships journey. Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to dream farther which could be the inspirations of my writings. My new married life was kind of new to me and I need to adjust. Also, it pressured me to make a living to make sure my wife and I wouldn’t be hungry everyday. So I sacrificed my passion and turned a drift of the road I was riding. Of course it’s hard for me, it saddened me to tell you the truth because dreaming is the only thing in life I found beauty; And dreaming is the only way to write.
So, hello Hive. I think I’ll be back for sure this time. I’m writing this to let hivers and communities whom I encountered that accepted me and supported me that I’m here now. It may not be necessary for others but for me it is because I don’t want to embarrass myself any further after leaving the community who made me happy suddenly. Of course, I’ll be talking about what made me busy for all this time and why I haven’t been in hive for so long, though I posted sometimes but I didn’t consider it my return.
Yeah, I’m a married man now and I’m a househusband. My wife is a public teacher and it’s kind of embarrassing to have a wife who has a stable job which I think it’s a man’s job. That reason itself made me decide to save money to build a small store. At least I could earn a little even though it is not bigger than earning from her every day job to be counted. Another thing, to compensate for my small earning I made sure when she woke up there would be food on the table already; The same with having coffee together since I boiled water already.
Actually, that’s not all I’ve been doing every morning when I woke up. After preparing food for my wife, I also take care of another small business and that is pig flattening. While cooking, I’d leave the cooking with a slow volume of fire so it wouldn’t be burned.
Then, I started cleaning the wastes of the pigs and watering their drinking water. When the cleaning is done, the feeding comes next. After cooking and taking care of pigs I’d wake up my wife to take a bath and eat. I just leave her there eating by her own because I’ll open the store waiting for early customers to buy eggs, frozen foods, coffee and many more.
Waiting….watching over the store. When my wife is done and ready to go to school she’d call me. Yes, it’s time for me to send her to school which is not far from here. Approximately 20 minutes for traveling distance before arriving at the school where she’s working. Although sometimes it is quite sad for me because sometimes I felt like there’s nothing I could do. My everyday routine is quite suffocating, doing things repeatedly and endlessly. I’d love to write but I didn’t know how to manage my time because in the afternoon I drained myself and wanted to take a rest.
Ohh… There's another thing I forgot of what I’d sometimes. I am a freelance photographer which is one of my hobbies aside from writing. I think I have already posted about my photography life already. So yeah, that’s the kind of life I'm having. It’s not easy to insert my time for writing but I’ll try my best to give time since it’s another way to relieve sadness and exhaustion for me.

Paul was born in Macrohon, Southern Leyte but currently living in Cahayag, San Francisco Southern Leyte. He graduated the course of a BS Mar-E or Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering in 2019. Although writing is his passion so instead of sailing he decided on writing.

Based on reading your blog, I can say that you're doing great as a house husband. It's so sweet to see a man preparing food for his wife. Also, you have your own store, and you take care of pigs. That's more than enough to say you're serious with your married life.
