Batibut Reunion
Who are you? Who are we? Who are they? A good feeling when the time has come to be together once again.
It's been a long, long time since that haven't seen each other. Related by blood but not in names. Blood is stickier than water gives a good feeling while seeing each other. It is as if a lover longs for his/her one true love. Missing deeply where the conversation wouldn’t end.
Despite the busy time like responsibilities and obligations as a grown man; It was decided to give a short time to the family. Yes, the family that has been segregated through names and family members; The fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers. It might not be all the same in terms of family members but the blood or the root is only one.
BATIBUT is the surname where it all began. Though time passed and generations changed. The blood that flows is there and nothing has changed. It's part of being human that remembering the past or remembering where it all began gives a happy feeling and contentment. It happens only for a short time but it will last forever.
A goodbye is unavoidable as always but it doesn't mean it will be the last time. That goodbye is a sign that there will be next time again and again. And that goodbye will be the reason to be excited for the next time will be meeting again. Sharing stories and tales that happened before the last time seeing each other again.

Paul was born in Macrohon, Southern Leyte but currently living in Cahayag, San Francisco Southern Leyte. He graduated the course of a BS Mar-E or Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering in 2019. Although writing is his passion so instead of sailing he decided on writing.
