Compulsory Medical Checkup: A Panacea For Controlling Disease And Mortality Rate

Compulsory medical check up could be a breach of individual rights and freedom. In this modern age, everyone has the liberty to self determination. Hence, when policies like this is enacted, the government should take cognizance that the United Nations charter, a law book where individual rights and privileges are spelt out, must be considered. The move to enact compulsory medical check up may be for good intentions for the individuals and government, the only thing that makes it look like a threat is that it breaks human rights laws.

From another angle, we can deduce the fact that medical facilities is not available to many people, especially in the rural areas, this may lead to a high rate migration to the urban centres which is already overcrowded, thereby causingore have m to human lives.

There is also the need to check the ratio of medical workers to the national population figure. When this is considered, you will ce to a realization that a medical doctor, both in the public and private healthcare sector may have to attend to a very high rate of patients which would result in fatique for the medical workers.

However, I feel that when this law is enacted, it will help reduce the high rate of avoidable deaths that we record in our nation.
The panacae of traditional medicine and the increase in failure of orthodox medicine to alleviate the medical condition of people suffering from some kinds of ailment like diabetes, hypertension and stroke may make this move impossible..

Going for medical checkups once a year won't hurt the pocket, though. It's gonna help reduce the rate of death as well because early discovery of a thing is likely to reduce the harm or effect it will have on the body when it becomes late.

You have great points here.

There are positive benefits to check regularly, but only when the person has the chances of doing so, the service is free and quality. You also have to take into account the treatment that the doctors give to their patients, because this inflates a lot, and this varies according to the country in which it is. At least in Venezuela, the doctors assume a threatening and unpleasant position with their patients, creating more anguish and at least in my case, that has created a great repudiation in attending to check me, I am already an older person, as if to be receiving scolding or mistreatment of people I do not know, who come to abuse me. That is an important factor to take into account.

Doctors are trained to care for their patients but on the contrary, due to dueress, some doctors may work out of proportion causing more harm on the patient.

Here in Venezuela it is the setback: the doctors hurt, insult you and make the experience of going to heal, something very unpleasant.

You made some good points! Regular checkups can help people stay healthy and catch diseases early, but forcing everyone to do it might feel like taking away their freedom. Instead of making it compulsory, the government should make healthcare cheaper and available to everyone, especially in villages. If checkups were free or affordable, more people would go willingly. Nice post
