Bringing Humanity Back to Life.
There are many things in life that have been lost in the flow of time. But if I had the opportunity—to bring back one lost thing—then I would undoubtedly bring back the humanity, sincerity, and the lost way of life of mutual relationships among people.
In our childhood days, life was very simple, but there was depth in the heart. Back then, people lived not only for themselves, but also for the people around them. If someone was sick in a house in the neighborhood, before the news was received, someone would show up with hot rice, someone would rush to bring medicine. Everyone would get invited to an event, everyone would cook, laugh, and sing together.
But in today's society, people are very mechanical. It's as if each person is a robot. They go to the office in the morning, come back tired at night, and don't even try to know who is outside the confines of their home, what they are doing, or how they are living. It's no one's responsibility to tell them that the person in the next apartment is sick or maybe lonely. Even if someone dies, the days pass without the people living in the next flat knowing about it.
Earlier, there was a family culture—“The person next to me is also my person.” This attitude of living together is what made our society humane. I remember those days of childhood—when my mother would cook and send it to the neighbors’ houses on a plate. A working mother would leave her younger siblings in the hands of her and go to the office, depending on whether the neighbors would see her.
This lost sincerity, mutual cooperation, and humanity—I want these to return. We should be able to consider not only ourselves, but also the people around us as our own. People should be “human” again, someone who can be seen to have love and compassion in their hearts.
If this lifestyle returns, many things will change in society—there will be relatively less loneliness, mental stress, and non-cooperation. People will once again give time to people, love them, and stand by them.
So what I want to bring back to life is to bring back people to their true selves, those lost values of human connection, a simple lifestyle, and sincerity.
