The completed design of a Toyota Camry car seat @mosupholstery

How do you all enjoy your weekend? Hope it was amazing. I thank the Almighty God that I am still alive today Monday. Last week I posted about the redesign of a Camry seat, it was a full car but I was able to complete the two front seats first click here to read about the starting of this project.

Today I will be posting about the completion of the full car, the back seat.

Looking at those finished works, you can see I have been able to change from fabric to leather as advised by my customer and I chose to mix the leather with two colors with a very beautiful design at the center. Look at the combination and the design the seat looks so beautiful and people admire the design.

I would love to write about some steps I follow to get the work done.

Firstly, I took the measurements of the seat with the help of sewing tape and then wrote it down with the help of chalk on the seat.

After getting done taking the measurements, I then transferred the measurements to the new leather with the help of tape and a long ruler in a rectangle.

After drawing the line, I then cut it out with the help of scissors.

I then place it on its position and then trace out the shape to achieve my working pattern, I then place it on a roofing material and gum it together.

I finally cut it out for the sewing process is a very simple step you can do very easily by yourself.

I then proceed to the sewing of the design line first. To sew the line straight, you have to draw a line on the back of the leather, and when sewing you have to follow the line carefully.

This is how it will look after successful sewing.

After sewing the design, I then used my sewing machine to join other patterns together using the old seat has point of view. When sewing I make all the points enter as I mark.

Finally, I am sewed and my new seat cover is ready.

I then clip the new sew seat cover to the old seat form with the help of a plier and clips. The is always a rod inside the form and the seat cover.

After clipping it, I then cover the seat completely, and here is the outcome of it.

I followed the same process to do the same process and the all turned out nice.

The owner was so happy to see the outcome of this seat and he even added me money for a drink. I too feel joy in my heart.
Upholstery work is sweet to do if you know what you are doing. But is too stressful to do because is hard work.
