Cutting and sewing of car seat

Happy new year. How did you guys enjoy the cross over night, i hope it was amazing. Many are still at village enjoying their Christmas.

Here is my first post for the year 2024. Today i bring to you all another great tutorial on how to reupholst a car seat. If you go through my previous post you will learn more about the steps i follow to reupholster a car seat.

This is not a difficult thing to do, just that you need to know how to sew a little then from there you will be able to flow very well.
I love sharing what i know to do and hope you love my work.

Let see how i obtain the seat above

First i loss the seat from the car.
After that i separated the back seat from the main seat and then take the measurements through using a sewing tape. I then transfer the measurements to the new leather and then cut it out. After cut it out i shape it to form the shape that i are looking for which will be the new pattern i am using

after we i place it in 1inches form to make it thick and smooth

I now cut it out and then use a sewing machine to join each of the patterns together has it is in the original seat to get the new seat cover.

After the sewing i now cover the seat with the new sew cover

After i follow all the steps has usual, here is what i gotten has the result.

How do you see the finish work. Hope it look new.
