Not the reason, but I know that a lot of people remember and go: "Oh, haven't posted in my HIVE account in a while" every time $HIVE goes up, so I imagine it's the same for $LEO!
Also, I instinctively become more active when $HIVE and/or $LEO goes noticably up!!
In my opinion price is not the reason why people don't subscription for premium, it's just because we are on Hive and people have many options for earnings.
