In Minecraft, I never managed to kill the dragon the legal way. I always got to it in creative mode and faced it that way, but in survival mode, I never even got to that dimension.
In Luanti, I don't think I'll ever get there. I feel like it's more difficult, so you're a real pro.

The slight lag on an online hosted server might make it a bit more challenging here if you are not well equipped. We were couple and had good armor, it wasn't too bad for us.
