Skills or education: Which way to financial independence?

There is so much controversy about what actually gives students money or how people make money in life. Can one make money through education or through skills?
These questions are actually a debate, and here are my thoughts about the topic.

We have seen people who go to school and are still poor, and we have seen people who have just a few skills and are very rich. Does that make education a scam? We have also seen people with skills who are poor and people with education who are rich. Does it mean skills are not
reliable?

What is education? Education is a means of acquiring knowledge that can be useful to us in our different places. Well, we can also say that education is a means of impacting knowledge on an individual so they can contribute their own contribution to the development of society.

Can education make one successful in life?
Let's be realistic. Education is not enough to make one successful or wealthy in life, but believe me, education is one of the sources of wealth. Why do I say that? Without adequate knowledge about education, having money or being wealthy without having a good knowledge of how to use the wealth is still useless. No matter what kind of money you might think you have, if you refuse to have good knowledge or know how to read and write, believe me, you can be sold without being noticed because you will always depend on someone to do something for you.

We are all getting it wrong when we say education alone can make us rich. Well, I don't dispute the fact that you have someone who can help you run it. I mean, I can't say that to those who have connections. Those people who know that after school they will definitely find something to do in one way or another The question is, what about those who don't have anyone to help them?

I've seen so many graduates on the street. Believe me, we have so many poor graduates, but I believe most of them don't know that education doesn't mean you will make it big in life. Well, if you're lucky, it's another entirely different case.

Talking about skills: skills are very important in everything we do in life. Honestly, with adequate skills, one will be able to put food on the table. I mean, there are some skills that make one rich and take one away from poverty.

Now here are my opinions. Having both education and skills is a very good thing. This is a good two-factor verification; if one doesn't work, the other will. It's so sad for you to see one person who has good knowledge of education but still has the skills to be poor in life. People will feel like they cannot learn vocational work. Or they can't learn any skills apart from education. And at the end of everything, you will still see them learning skills after school.

There are so many skills one can learn, especially in this era of technology. Why will you just go to school without having a good knowledge of other skills? We should stop delectating on which is best among the two because, honestly, the two work together.

I agree that they need to work together. Learning 'c' can let you be skilled in 'e'. As a step, path, growth.

But also, it's really important for everyone now to be skilled in financial education everyday. Never stop it!

You get my point, it is really good to be skilled.

Been rich is about the mind set. Been rich does not have anything to do with education. Education is a light not a riches as many people believe it's. Use the light (education) well and you will be rich

To join education with the best skills we have is a good combination, is my opinion.

So far this based on financial independence, I strongly beleive that the worth of the value you can offer after learning a skill or learning from school is what determines your financial worth.

As long as you are excellent at what you do be it employed or entrepreneur plus you know how to reach your target customers, then you will always smile to banks.

Both would be ideal. If I had to choose, however, I would go with skills, because they are the useful application of knowledge and education.
