My skills without the Internet.

Till now, not everyone knows the Internet.
Even if they do not, everyone still makes money from it, although so many people are now making money from it, but we still have some people that do not even know it, and they were still making good money offline. As we speak, we have lots of vocational work that makes good money for people without the Internet. As I have seen someone that says in a month, she makes more than 2,000 United States dollars. That's a lot of money in naira. And she's making this from a fashion designer.

Dad will always tell me, Ayobami, you need to have vocational work. But I always don't use to think more about it because I think I don't need it. But then I realized that the world doesn't revolve only online. Even before I get to know more about the Internet and start making money, I have started looking for what to do with my life. Anyways, when I finished my secondary school, I went to college before university, and that was the perfect time I told my parents that I needed to learn vocational work. Since my dad has always wanted me to learn, he was happy when I told him about it; he had already given me so many choices, like learning to be a mechanic, electrician, and so on like that. I saw a place where I can learn phone engineering work; meanwhile, it's inside the school. I met with the person, and I started learning about the work.

I used three good years to learn it. I learned both the hardware and software of phone engineering, plus the accessories. This is the skill I had gotten even before I knew the Internet. When I say know the Internet, I mean before I started making money online, this was the skill I had, and I'm surviving with it.In the year 2017, I had my first shop in a university.

So I started with phone repair, just hardware alone. This was because I did not have any money to get a laptop, and without a laptop, you can't do any kind of software. So I had to let go of it. I started with hardware, and after some months I added selling of the accessories with it.

That same year, 2017, I got my second shop, and I also bought a bike. And everything was from the shop I had then. I left in the year 2019. On getting to my university, I did not have anything I was doing to survive, and it was so tough for me. It was only my engineering work that I was doing and that made me survive till I finished my university.

In summary, back then having a skill in my country is very important. Back then our forefathers doesn't even know anything about the Internet, some wear farmers, some were mechanic, panel beating and so on. And they are making lots of money from this things.
