Captivity or freedom: The Animal's Dilemma

Zoos are one of the things that make us know more about animals; apart from the fact that we do see them in the movies, the only way you can see them physically is in the zoo. Talking about zoos and wildlife, there are disadvantages and advantages. Talking about the advantages, zoos are being used for educational purposes.

It is not possible for students to go to the forest just to see animals, but bringing them to the zoos will allow the students and anyone doing research to be able to identify the animals and use them for any kind of research. I could remember when I was a student, and when we visited the zoos, we were able to see different kinds of animals.

Elephants, lions, snakes, and so on can easily be seen in the school. Now imagine if there were no zoos; most people would never be able to see any wild animals in their lives.Apart from the fact that they are using it for educational purposes, it can also be used for recreational purposes.

Although to me I don't really like using animals for recreational purposes, but then it's one of the advantages—you can use them for that. Believe it or not, if not for the benefits of zoos, a lot of people would not know anything, especially nowadays, Gen Z. Meanwhile, some animals went extinct, but with the help of us people and the zoo, they were able to keep some animals from going extinct, and they were able to reproduce more.

Moreover, they will be feeding them, and also most of them live long; if you are in the wild, you can get killed at any time. However, just as they have advantages, they also have disadvantages. I personally do not like the fact that people use animals for recreational purposes, especially wild animals.

They are not supposed to be caged; wild is wild, and they always belong to their places. No matter how you want to please them, they will not be able to move around to their satisfaction; wild animals want to hunt by themselves, and they don't like people feeding them. Moreover, they will be so bored; just like human beings get bored being alone, they will be bored too. Imagine living in one place for life. This doesn't make any good sense.

Imagine a bird that wants to fly kilometers and is just caged in one place. Boredom can make them act crazy; they are used to the life they like. Living with their species will give them a good life. Some zoo caretakers don't even take good care of the animals; they are so lean and don't eat well. Well, not all of them do that, but then I have seen some animals in the zoos that look so terrible because they aren't taking care of them.

Would they be better off in the wild? Well, if they are all released to the wild, then there will not be a way that we can learn anymore. These animals also serve as a way to impart knowledge to us. However, using animals for recreational purposes and some stupid things should not be allowed.

There is no doubt that zoos helped people to know more about animals but as for me I don’t like zoos or anything that has to do with animals

I totally agree with your opinion on this subject matter, I also think it has it ups and down and we must find a middle ground to balance things, especially for the good of the wildlife.

The enclosed animals change their behavior, so if we have creatures in a zoological we have been learning how an enclosed creature behaves, but never in their natural state. We have been learning a behavior that is not natural in those animals ... so from the beginning, zoologicos are bad for me.

Oh, well. Animals in their natural habitat tend to be more free though.
