Syrenth, A Great Ally for the Going to the Distance Rule

Today I'm going to talk about a card that will be a great ally in battles against monsters with ranged attacks, especially in battles where the Going to the Distance rule applies.

In the Going to the Distance rule, players can only use monsters that have a ranged attack in battle.

The card I'm talking about is Syrenth, a monster that belongs to the Dragon deck and is one of the current Soulbounds cards.

Syrenth will be a great choice for battles because it has a strong attack and a large amount of life, but what makes Syrenth a great ally in the Going to the Distance rule are its abilities.

In total, Syrenth has 4 abilities and they are: Taunt, Dodge, Return Fire and Stun.

The Taunt ability makes Syrenth the main target of enemy monsters' attacks, but there are exceptions such as monsters with the Scattershot ability since they will attack randomly.

The Dodge ability increases Syrenth's chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks by +25%. Since monsters with melee and ranged attacks are very common in battles, this ability will be of great help and since in the Going to the Distance rule only monsters with ranged attacks can be used, the Dodge ability will be even more useful.

The Return Fire ability makes Syrenth deal part of the ranged damage received back to the monster that caused damage with this type of attack. Basically, if a monster with a ranged attack attacks Syrenth, then 50% of the damage that this monster causes will be dealt to it as physical damage.

The Stun ability gives Syrenth a 50% chance of applying Stunned for 1 round to the monster she hits with the attack. Stunned monsters cannot attack or use any abilities.

I love monsters that have the Taunt ability because I can combine them using monsters that have healing abilities like the Triage ability. So I just need to put Syrenth in the backline along with 1 or 2 monsters that have the Triage ability and she will be an incredible defense in battles, especially in battles with the Going to the Distance rule and if the Reverse Speed rule exists then Syrenth will be even more incredible because her chances of dodging attacks will be very high since she has little speed.

There are many useful and powerful cards in the current Soulbound edition and that's why one of my main goals in Splinterlands right now is to get all my current Soulbound cards to maximum level before a new Soulbound edition is released. I believe this should only happen in 1 year so I have enough time to achieve this goal and I hope to achieve it because if I have to buy the cards on the market then I will pay a very high price for them.
