Opening Chaos Legion Packs

Today is the day to open packs in Splinterlands to test my luck and increase my collection of cards in the game.

Since I started playing Splinterlands again, one of my main goals in the game was to build a card collection so that I wouldn't have to spend money on rentals anymore. The best card edition I found to start with was the Chaos Legion edition because the price of the cards and packs are low. In addition, the cards are very useful and powerful in battle, so it's a great edition to start with in Splinterlands and it can be used in Modern and Wild formats.

To expand my Chaos Legion card collection, I have the option of buying packs or buying the cards on the market. The best option is to buy the cards on the market because that way I won't have to depend on luck and I can choose the card and the quantity I want to buy, but sometimes I like to open packs because I think it's fun and I have the hope that at some point I'll get a Gold Foil legendary card that I could sell for a good price and buy a large quantity of regular cards to increase my Chaos Legion card collection.

My focus is not on packs so today I'm going to open only 2 Chaos Legion packs because I want to test my luck and because I woke up wanting to open packs.

I went to Hive Engine and bought 2 Chaos Legion packs for 1.96 Swap.Hive each and in total I spent 3.93 Swap.Hive.

This is a small price and in my opinion the Chaos Legion packs are at a great price, but I believe that the price of the packs and cards will probably go down when a new edition of cards is released because the Chaos Legion edition will be released in Modern format, so I'm building my Chaos Legion collection slowly and always trying to take advantage of great opportunities until that happens because when a new edition is released and the Chaos Legion edition is released in Modern format, that will probably be the best time to buy packs and cards from that edition.

I've already transferred the packs to my Splinterlands account so let's see if today is my lucky day.

My luck wasn't good and I didn't get any legendary cards or Gold Foil cards, so I lost money opening these packs.

Considering I paid 3.96 Swap.Hive and that's the equivalent of $0.93 then my loss was $0.47 opening these 2 packs, but it was fun opening them so I have no regrets and I still have hope that I will have a lot of luck opening the packs at some point.

There are less than 2 months until a new set of carats hits the market in Splinterlands and I'm looking forward to seeing the price of Chaos Legion cards when that time comes.
