Halaran Huntress, A Powerful Attack with Low Mana Cost
Today I'm going to talk about a card that has a strong attack power and a low mana cost. This is a powerful combination since in many battles in Splinterlands the amount of available mana is low or there is the Little League rule.
- In the Little League rule, players can only use monsters that cost 4 or less mana.
Since mana is very important in Splinterlands, in battles with low available mana, the choice of cards has to be made very carefully.
In the current edition of Soulbounds cards, there is a card with a strong attack and a low mana cost. This card is the Halaran Huntress and that's what I'm going to talk about today.
The Halaran Huntress is a monster from the Earth deck, its mana cost is 4 and its attack is melee. You may be wondering if the Halaran Huntress is really going to be a good choice since monsters with melee attacks can usually only attack in the first position and the answer to this question lies in the Halaran Huntress' abilities.
There are 3 abilities that come with the Halaran Huntress and they are: Flying, Charge and Snare.
The Flying ability gives the Halaran Huntress +25% chance to dodge melee attacks and ranged attacks against attacks from monsters that do not have the Flying ability.
The Charge ability gives the Halaran Huntress the ability to attack in any position and this ability answers the previous question about whether the Halaran Huntress is useful or not in other positions even though it is a monster with melee attacks.
The Snare ability gives the Halaran Huntress a 100% chance to remove the Flying ability from the monster she hits with the attack.
This is a great combination of abilities and Halaran Huntress will be a great help in battles because in addition to having a strong attack, she also has a good chance of dodging enemy monsters' attacks. Halaran Huntress will be even more incredible when the Earthquake rule is introduced in battle because she will not take damage under this rule since she has the Flying ability and will also be able to remove the Flying ability from enemy monsters and make them vulnerable to the Earthquake rule.
There are incredible monsters in the current Soulbound edition of Splinterlands and that is why one of my main goals in the game is to get all my current Soulbound cards to maximum level before a new Soulbound edition is released.
Remember that Halaran Huntress only has 4 melee attacks at maximum level and the abilities are unlocked at the following levels:
The Flying and Charge abilities are unlocked at level 1 of Halaran Huntress.
The Snare ability is unlocked at level 5 of Halaran Huntress.
