A Powerful Ally but with a Curse

Today I'm going to talk about a card that is very powerful but is also a curse in battles in Splinterlands, this card is the Kha'Zi Conjurer.

In the current edition of Soulbound there are many useful and powerful cards, the Kha'Zi Conjurer is one of them, but be careful when using it because despite having a powerful attack, it also has an ability that will leave you at a great disadvantage in battle, I'll explain in detail so you can understand.

In the image above you can get an overview of the Kha'Zi Conjurer card, it belongs to the fire deck, its attack is ranged and its mana cost is 2. I know that the first thought is how powerful this monster is because it has a lot of attack even though it costs little mana, but unfortunately there is a price to use it and that price is the Incendiary ability, which works as a debuff for your allied monsters.

The Incendiary ability applies the Burning debuff to Kha'Zi Conjurer at the beginning of the second round of battle and this means that Kha'Zi Conjurer will suffer 2 damage at the beginning of each round after receiving the Burning debuff, this debuff has a 33% chance of being applied to monsters adjacent to the monster that has the Burning debuff so the monsters adjacent to Kha'Zi Conjurer will have a 33% chance of suffering the same fate and when they have the Burning debuff then they can pass this debuff to the monsters adjacent to them and this means that there is a chance that all your monsters will receive the Burning debuff in the battle.

To be honest, 33% is not a very high percentage and since this only happens once per round, the chances of passing the Burning debuff to all monsters are low, even to monsters adjacent to Kha'Zi Conjurer. So using Kha'Zi Conjurer in battle is not very risky, but I would only choose him in battles that would not last several rounds or when there was the Back to Basics rule in the battle.

In the Back to Basics rule, all monsters in battle lose their abilities, so using Kha'Zi Conjurer in this rule would be more advantageous because he would not have the Incendiary ability, which means that the player would have a monster with great attack power and a low mana cost.

In addition to the Incendiary ability, Kha'Zi Conjurer also has another ability, Piercing.

The Piercing ability causes all excess damage caused to armor to be caused to the monster's health, this means that if a monster with 4 attack and with the Piercing ability attacks a monster with 2 armor, this monster will cause 2 damage to the armor and 2 damage to the monster's health.

I really like using Kha'Zi Conjurer in my low mana battles, despite the debuff he applies, he is still a great choice and causes a lot of damage to enemy monsters, so in my opinion he is a great choice for battles.

A tip to make the Burning debuff spread slower is to leave Kha'Zi Conjurer in the last position because this way he will only be able to pass the Burning debuff to just 1 monster at the beginning since there will only be 1 monster adjacent to him.
