The secrets of raising layer birds for massive eggs production.
Hello Hive

Happy weekend to us all. I hope that we are hale and hearty and getting refreshed for this weekend.
Yesterday was the eggs harvest day and after the entire process I decided to share with the community some of the secrets we have used to achieve massive growth of the birds and eggs productions.

These birds started laying eggs at their 20th week and this can be less for some specie of layer birds it all depends on the specie you have bought and nutrition.
Normally layer birds are often grown for egg production and this is our first time of trying such. The egg production is often rapid when they start laying eggs and I was surprised to learn that these eggs productions can continue consistently for a year. Imagine growing birds that will lay eggs for someone consistently for 12months. It is important to watch after birds health and keep them alive so that the egg production can be continuous and you will achieve maximum productivity before the birds wear out.

Now the some of the secrets or important lessons we have learnt
- Their living Condition
- Nutrition and vaccination
This vast cage was built here with ironing works to allow for proper ventilation for the birds. Heat kills bird faster than anything and for layer birds they usually feel so much discomfort and a massive reduction in egg production if the birds are feeling heat. The most convenient and well ventilated house like this is appropriate for layer birds.

Nutrition affects layer birds in the following dimensions. They need accurate amount of food that isn't too much or too less. It is bad to overfeed or underfeed birds. In addition to their feeds you may want to add the following
Calcium for strong eggshells: birds need calcium to produce quality eggs with strong shell
Protein is a very vital aspect for egg production. What you feed your birds with will determine the quality of eggs that you will get and for what duration too.
Vaccination is another important aspect of birds health. Keeping birds alive and healthy is vital for both meat and egg production.
