Happy new week to each and all of us, I hope that we had enough rest already. Personally I had a very long weekend and hoped that I could get some more sleep but Monday is a busy day for me and I already have some sewing orders waiting. I have to get the morning activities out of the way, visit and check on our germinating seedlings before returning home to sewing

The lineup of activities this week is the harvest of the matured corns and garden eggs. After waiting for a long period we have decided to pull up the garden eggs and sell them off at the markets as the fruit aren't getting as big as we desired them to be, it's the first time of planting those garden eggs but even after the plant has grown very well, the fruits produced haven't grown up to the expected sizes of what we often witness in the market. We might have probably planted a specie that doesn't often produce big garden egg bulbs

Harvesting and clearing these off might be the best option so that the land can be made available for use to plant other crops. There are still a variety of vegetables that can still be planted and the land made useful. Instead of irrigating these with diesel and not having it been productive anymore.

The corns too will be harvested within the week since they aren't the type we need to get too strong before harvest. They are meant to be eating fresh and as you can see that the silk on them are drying up already it means that the the corn are ready for consumption fresh.

The corn harvest is what everyone will really be excited about. We all love to eat fresh corn especially when they are out of season. People crave for corn more within this period, they are often more expensive than the ones usually be sold when they are in season. A lot of people will crave for the limited corn which drives the price up but in all it is satisfying to grow and eat corn during the dry seasons like this.
